Gliding

Adventure

Adventure training with the RAF Cadets is all about challenge and discovery, from hiking and climbing to kayaking and camping. It builds resilience, teamwork, and leadership while giving cadets the chance to explore the outdoors and push themselves in new and exciting ways.

Band

Being part of a cadet squadron band lets you combine music with teamwork and discipline. Whether marching at parades or performing at events, cadets develop musical talent, confidence, and pride while contributing to the spirit and identity of their squadron.

Camps

Camps with the RAF Cadets are packed with adventure, learning, and fun. They give cadets the chance to experience life on a base, try new activities, build friendships, and gain valuable skills, all while enjoying a real sense of teamwork and independence.

Remembrance

Remembrance is a core part of RAF Cadet life, honouring those who gave their lives in service. Each year cadets proudly take part in the annual Remembrance Parade, standing shoulder to shoulder with veterans and the community to reflect, show respect, and ensure the sacrifices of the past are never forgotten.

Charity

Charity and fundraising are an important part of being an RAF Cadet, giving something back to the community while supporting good causes. From sponsored challenges to helping at local events, cadets learn the value of service, teamwork, and making a real difference for others.

DofE Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award with the RAF Cadets is a chance to challenge yourself, learn new skills, and gain a nationally recognised achievement.
